What we listen for

What we check in mics gear, beyond the star rating.

  1. 01USB or XLR, and what else you will need to buy to use it
  2. 02How much room noise it picks up in a typical bedroom or office
  3. 03How owners describe the sound on speech and vocals
  4. 04Build quality and mounts, the parts that fail first
