Affiliate disclosure

What that means for you

Some links on this site, including every "Check price on Amazon" button, are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, Amazon pays us a small commission. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway.

Amazon may also credit us for other things you buy within 24 hours of clicking. Its reports show us which products were ordered through our links, never who ordered them.

How we keep it from affecting our picks

• Amazon sets commission rates per product category, so within a guide we have no reason to favor one brand.
• No brand pays to be included, and we don't accept free products or sponsored placements.
• We tell you who should skip each product, even our top picks. A sale that ends in a return earns us nothing anyway.

Where you'll see this disclosure

Every guide with affiliate links has a short note at the top, before the first link, plus this page and a reminder in the site footer. Our method is described in full on How we rank.

Prices and availability

We don't display prices. They change often and Amazon is the only reliable source for the current one. Product availability can also change after a guide is published. Questions? Contact us.
